ALERT unicyclist on the highways

If you are on the highways anywhere between Cantberra and Adelaide just keep your eyes peeled for a fella riding his unicycle. He is doing a fund raiser for a country that does not come to mind at the moment and is doing it alone as his suport vehicle driver has better things to do. He is attempting to do one better than Samuel Johnston ( Pedders Ralph fame) who did Sydney - Melbourne with support vehicle, for the Beyond Blue organisation.

He sort of stands out on his 36" wheeled ike, back pack with just one flashing tail light - looks like someone riding a penny farthing

It aint a good idea to toot him as it screws with ya concentration riding these monocycles - just give him a hazard flash as you pass or if you got a spare red flasher maybe offer it to him. He might find he needs a bell for legal reasons but it aint a bike so not sure. Samuel had this dilemma with the cops at one stage

He gets a pretty good pace up with the big wheel, so for his safety please beware of him
