You can't run Windows programs on Linux natively. There's a package called WINE which will run some Windows programs, no idea about live.
Is it just MSN messenger you need access to? If so
Pidgin will allow you to access the MSN messenger network.

I find pidgin a bit limited and occaisionally unstable.
emesen has more features with out adding too much bloat but it's not much better in the stability department.
aMSN is a pretty good clone of Live Messenger complete with all the bloat.
What version of linux are you running Bill?
Jordan.

after some quick reading it seems PC Linux uses a tool called Synaptic for installing software. If you run this Bill you should be able to find an MSN client in there.
Or you can run this from the command line 'apt-get install pidgin'
