how weird is this thing! The wheelbase is about 1.5m

Amsterdam: lots of Gen1's

The netherlands: Some Gen3's and Gen4's

Germany: Dont think i have seen a subaru yet! There is a small dealer in town though but he sells lots of Jap makes. The Pajero is very popular in Europe too.

The coolest car I have driven was 3 days and about 1000kms in an E class Merc around the UK. awesome car, although too comfortable and easy to fall asleep in. we were getting around 50mpg in a BIG car which i thogh was awesome. plenty of power from the turbo diesel too.

Trip so far:

Singpore, England, Holland, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Germany, England, Scotland, England, Germany...... **** its hard to remember where i am and what day it is ! On monday we are driving to Poland where I have to train 18 polish guys for a 1/2 day course, back wednesday then fly home finally on thursday night via singapore.

Looking forward to being home for a while, I only had 3 weeks between the finke trip and this.

by the way - i think turbo diesel passenger cars are awesome. shame diesel cars and diesel fuel is so expensive in australia. A turbo diesel automatic Brumby would be a sweet car ;)

We spent May in Europe with some time Germany - they do have subes, but our German friends say on the whole they are not popular as they are not fast enough!

WRX not fast enough? They appear to standstill on the autobahns compared to the turbo V6s, V8, and even V10s Audis, BMWs, Mercs, VWs etc. They LOVE their big fast cars, and with PULP at about $3.75+ a lt, driving is so expensive may as well go the whole hog.

As an example, our little 6 speed turbo campervan pushing along at 130kph was still overtaken by trucks that in Aust are speed limited to 100kph.

Fastest we saw a group of 4 Porsches at well over 300kph - an amazing noise even a lane away that shock the van - even the taxi did 240 from the airport!
