Who is this TONGA you speak of?

as for the interview questions I'm looking for work again. as while I enjoyed the FIFO, I didn't enjoy having to pay for my own flights and then not being able to claim them on my tax.

It was considered travelling to and from work and as I wasn't travelling with tools or other work aperatus, I was told I couldn't claim.

There are 3 types of VW owners:

Those who haven't had a problem yet and always post how they're a fantastic car.
Those who are just about to start crying as things go wrong.
Those who have had lots of problems and tell everyone.

I drove one in Germany earlier this year and was not impressed. Rattled around town at low revs, rattled on the autobahn's at high revs (about 160km/h would start it shaking), but handled ok on road and off, and good on fuel (luckily, given the cost per litre over there).

Sell it before something bad happens.

As far as I know they still make "Kombi's" in Brazil, beetles too. Or if you want you can buy every body panel aftermarket build one up yourself from nothing...literally.

Nope i love it.

I dunno what you drove but my car is the total opposite. Smooth and quiet beyond belief which is why you can hear when something isn't right. The mechanic said the old wheel bearing felt and looked fine. The reason we picked it up so early is because the car is dead quiet on the road.

I've had a fair bit of experience with cars and can pick quality. The passat is the best car I've ever been in.

Think I'll stick with my VW, they're one of the most popular manufacturers in the world, there's a reason for that.

A mechanical engineer friend , in his studies, or work as a tutor explained to me that the more someone pays for a car, the less tolerant they are of a breakdown or minor problem occurs, they have all the time in the world to complete reliability surveys and may exaggerate. This was his explanation of why another German manufacturer rated at the poorer end - almost vindictive owners getting their own back !

O OH, sorry TOONGA, bad keyboard. I once went to a BLOCKhead woman (mit beard

) for a tax year who would not let me claim my vehicle for same reasons and given the times of finish - no public transport. The next , a qualified accountant this time pushed the travel claims through. Get a toolbox!
