Heads up for some changes!

Over the following week (pending work load) I’ll be making changes to the layout of the forum. After his I’ll spend time sifting through old threads and putting them in the most appropriate location.

Let me know what you think when they happen Bantum (and others!) ;)

Cheers

Not yet. The boring bit will be moving posts to the new sections they fit into best.

Ok, that was fun and a bit of a learning curve!

I bet the admin log looks long and nasty... wish I knew about the forum permissions copy tab, anyway, it's done now!

Let me know what you think.

Some forums locked to start moving threads to the model specific subforums - hopefully this doesn't lock us out from moving these threads!

Re: Forum Layout ...

I'm liking most of the layout changes Bennie, there are a couple of minor errors & omissions to be looked at later.

One glaring thing that's missing / in wrong location is the heading for your 'new section' - it should read 'Model Specific Studios' & be under the main banner of 'Workshop Studios' with all the sub headings under them if that makes sense ... ;) ... ( As its currently duplicating / doubles up topics )

Other than that keep at at it ... :)

Hey Bantum,

Glad you like the changes and thanks for the feedback.

The workshop double ups with the old workshop area was intentional. I’ve locked the old sections of the workshop that need to have their topics moved to the various model specific sections. It’ll take some time to do this with thousands of threads but it’ll get done. Some will sit there not having an obvious place to go to. A decision on where these go will be made at a later date when something is worked out!

What do you think of “Model specific workshop studios” for the new section? I was aiming for easy thread navigation that is specific to that engine/drivetrain platform. Hopefully this was achieved, now on to moving the threads.

Cheers

“Model Specific Workshop Studios” it is ... :)

Though 'Workshop Studios' should still be used for the main header container phrase, with sub-headers consequently dropping the 'studio' in title - as its not really needed ... ;)

Cheers, Bantum ...
