Our old China...Subactive
i gave Subactive a temp ban and a warning, which is why its been quiet of late from this user.

Ban lifted and the spammy threads have started again. This is a hard one to deal with, the threads are positively spam sounding, but they are kind of on topic with the forum.

I might need some input from other members on how to deal with this one.

thoughts?

It's clear Subactive is on the forum to do a job - most likely being paid for the time he/she spends in it.

May not be against the rules, but it's certainly a whole different reason than the vast majority of other members...

Could you direct everything that comes from Subactive, to a post that has a suitable tittle, along the lines of "Subactives Subaru Updates (spam)".

Yes its interesting to keep up to date with relative information, but the way it is presented, it appears as spam.

This way, people who wish to read it can and those that do not like this sort of "invasion" can ignore it.

Will this start something bad?

The line has to be drawn somewhere, if people are interested in updates, there are other ways, that have nothing to do with this site.
But it makes life easier for lazy people:)

I'm not a huge fan of the threads... But:

If you want to avoid his posts, why not just look at the name below the thread title and not click on it if Subactive is... Active?

At least he's not dumping in others threads?

~ Makes no contribution other than completely inane posts

~ Is (likely) to be part of a marketing company flooding the WWW with threads, and in some manner gauging the responses

~ Has been blocked by other forums...why should this one be an easy in?
