You were using the incorrect IP address for the image. The one you have listed at the top of your post is the one you should have been using. The second bit of code you have there is the code that the forum uses to show your picture.

Hi guys.

I was using Image shack for a while now but this is what i get from them now. Not sure if its gonna happen or not.

///You have 580 photos stored. Since you're over the 500 photo limit you'll need to upgrade to a Premium account or you'll only be able to keep 500 of your recent photos. Older photos will expire on the 1st of March.///

Anyway what else or other site i can use that share similar image hosting as image shack?

thx

Photobucket. Free, unlimited uploads, and no stupid text links when you post a pic in a forum.

I've had the same so have signed up for the year - I've got about 1200 images on there! As if I could narrow that down to 500 images!!

I don't know how people do that either. ALL of my images are from imageshack - but I choose the option of the image without the "image details" with it. I also use the classic view instead of the modern view.

There are ways around those links, people just need to take the time to select the option without those links. Personally I've not had an issue with imageshack so far - were as I've seen plenty of photo bucket images dropped time and time again. I find it frustrating!

It'll probably be a matter of time before photobucket and other image hosting sights start charging for storage - or they should get better advertisements, the imageshack ones really suck!

Cheers

Sorry to say Photobucket is no longer unlimited, I think it's down to about 10Gb ? ( free ) & it also has a similar limit on transfer / browse rates with a Bandwidth limit of 10Gb per month ... :(

Correction : With a free account, you can use up to 10GB of bandwidth per month and 2GB storage.

P.S. - Flicker is another option, but is more cumbersome ... ;)

Cheers, Bantum ...

Anyway to get pics from my iPhone up here? Don't have a computer and image shack is useless because of that reason. Could I forward my pics to someone else and maybe they can get them up for me?

Hi Canny,

You'll need to get an account @ one of these sites listed to host your photos :

Wow.. didn't know there was this many sites for posting pics.

I resize before uploading to Photobucket, which helps not take up of your space. I've never had any issues with pics not working. Only time I've seen this happen with Photobucket is when someone has moved their pics within their folders or they have deleted their account.
