Well guys!

The Forester sold about a month ago and about a week ago i picked up my new car from Victoria

It's a MY04 Liberty GT Premium

I love it to bit's already!

Comfortable, precise and pretty quick stock :D

Although it doesn't burble due to the twin scroll set up

The only mod I've really got in mind at the moment is a set of wheel's

Thanks for the comments guys!

Very tempting car i know! I was originally looking at another forester or a Legacy GT-B Wagon but then this came along at the right price

They are still averaging around 34k for a premium pack with decent K's, i got this one for 31k with 35000 on the clock

Wow, it's been almost 10 years since I posted here!

Not a great deal has changed in that time except for the fact that I'm picking up this on Tuesday

And this is being sent away

I'm looking forward to going a little bit more off the beaten track with this one as opposed to the last two which have been just a little too low!

I'm also going to take a little bit of time getting used to something that redlines just after 4000!

So you got the diesel? Nice.

How many k's did you end up putting on the GT liberty?

Cheers

And for comparison, my first Subaru and what the liberty replaced.

Hi Bennie,

She went out to pasture with 211,000 on the clock and no Major niggles apart from an 02 sensor and 1 wheel bearing along the way.

Aye, went with the diesel and looking forward to getting a little bit of that rumble back :D

Nice new car!! I do like the look of the new Outbacks!

Please feel free to come along on a Subaru 4WD Club of Queensland trip if you would like... http://www.subaclub.com/what039s-on/

Thanks Tigger, I was actually checking out the club :)

As this is my first Subaru that's suitable for decent off roading I don't have a lot of experience with it, does the club do easier runs as well as the more difficult ones?

Look at that that redline haha

Yes we do some easier trips as well and also provide on trip training to get you through the more 'difficult' sections. Keep an eye on the 'What's On' page of the Club website for our upcoming trips.

We have an Easy/Medium trip coming up on 29 May in the Woodenbong area (Northern NSW).

P.S. My Diesel Forester is the same with its redline and I find 1st gear is way too short especially during launch ;)

Thanks Tigger, I'll keep an eye on it! I've not had a lot of experience purely off road, I've done gravel tracks, snow and some very shallow creek crossings with the liberty and wife's Impreza but that's it!

I haven't been up to woodenbong for a few years, I'll check the roster and start gathering a "Penfold pack" :D

Just racked up 1300km on the outback with a trip up the coast, amazed at the fuel economy and how comfortable it is to cruise thus far, I've done 750km since filling and still have just over a 1/4 of a tank left, the liberty was drinking 98 octane fuel at 11-13L/100km in comparison!

Yewww! Absolutely, I'd say we're quote loyal to the brand now, when it's time for our Impreza to go it'll be an XV that takes its place!

How have you been keeping?
