we have a blue plate :) :)

now its roadworthy time. btw this thing scoots at half throttle . fixed the boost gauge- had it tapped in the wrong spot. curve is now 10,5,10 and vac is -20mmhg. so its runnning fine. still stumped on the boost noise (that also stumped my mechanic.)

if all goes well it will have insurance and rego on it by friday :)

took it for a roadworthy today - it didn't pass. only a few minor things though. engine is up in the air with the passenger side engine mount off as it shagged itself for some reason.

rest of it is done. car will have rego by friday arvo :)

it has rego, insurance and a full tank of E10 :) - taking it to gympie on the 26th.

only dirt that car will see is road grime. have a suzi 4x4 and a xtrail at my disposal (family cars) if I wish to play off road.

putting 2 new cooling fans in it right now so it stays cool ( the benz items died!) and gives me no trouble.

had a spare boost box handy as well so I tossed that in. boost is down to 10psi now and I do not have a 14psi spike any more. something was up with the other box.
think I found what my whistle was as well. (you have to hear the car to understand this.)

adam,

if you are reading this : do you have a LOUD whistle at 1 psi and does it go away when the second turbo comes on??

haha, mine too, mine has wicked whistle with the VF22 going hard, sounds awesome at full noise with 3 inch exhaust i could imagine urs would be incredible to dave coz urs is straight through right? there was a guy in my town that had a bit of a worked wrx, vf34 turb, front mount etc... it had a 4 inch and it sounded scary....

I know what turbo whine sounds like - this is different. I have run the thing around without the charcoal canister on so I'm trying that. part of the reason I swapped the boost box in the first place.

charcoal canister shouldnt effect anything or even hint about causing any noises.......might caus a tad of surging but this box of yours should eliminate that...and yes...turbo whine is different..lmao....any way u can describe it any better? or is it just simply that...obviously i cant really offer any advice at all unless i hear it so sorry i cant be of any more help...
