Post by SubiDave » Tue Sep 22, 2015 3:39 pm

Here is a picture of my 85 Subaru Leone 4wd sedan, its got the dual range gearbox, 5 speed manual, the only upgrades planned are a 2 inch lift, some 14 inch wheels and an alloy front bullbar with lights. Its going on club rego and will be my bush track car.

That's a very nice sedan I wish I could get a hold of one like that.

Enjoy it :)

Geez Dave that thing IS VERY clean, you sure you want to lift it??

We should organise a catch up once I'm done playing gearbox again!

Cheers

Thanks for the kind messages people, the paint on it is an average job as it has been in an accident at some point in its life, however its been very well maintained and goes very well. I did want to lift it, only becuse I want to do a bit on off track driving in it. Even with the poor respray it didnt faze me as I got it for a bargain, especially considering the exhaust, brakes, belts(including timing belt) and tyres are all new. And I have always wanted a 4wd sedan ever since I had a 2wd leone, as I dont think I have seen another dual range sedan on the road before, but I knew they existed. I gave it a cut and ploish and gave the rims a quick wash and its come up very well.

You've got what would be classified as a pretty rare standard L series 4wd! You just don't see the 4wd non turbo sedans anymore!

Cheers

here, here ...I used to muse the idea of a 4WD sedan being very practical as I went about mountain tracks n trails in my Brumby ...then I got my GLTA, chucked a 5MTDR in her .

Eight years and 100,000km later had to scrap her - still miss her :(
never raised her - just dragged her tits over a few things :p
