New Member - L Series

Post by jims » Fri Dec 07, 2012 5:38 pm

Hi everyone,

A few local Subaru owners pointed me in this direction so I thought I would sign up.

This is my first Subaru, a 93 L Series. I have always liked their shape and functionality so when the opportunity came up to trade my old car for this I took it.

I have spent the last few months doing up bits and pieces: new clutch (wow, that was a big job!); new struts and springs; new brake disks; gaskets, oils, filters etc etc. I have a donner car about the back so I have also been able to repalce the door cards, roof liner and other bits and pieces of the interior that were in better nick on the wreck then they were on my car.

My wife and I use this car mainly for camping and fishing, only really 4wding when we need to get into a place that lookjs nice or out along the beach. I am keen to keep this car as original as possible, (no plans for the ej conversion, of lift kit).

The mods I have done however include: a set of 14" Subaru rally rims with 215x65 tyres; a wheel carrier that I have mounted on the Rolla Racks to carry the oversized rim and a shovel; a set of spotties; and a 12v air compressor which I still need to mount in the engine bay.

My next plans are to finish stripping down the wreck I have out the back so that I can get my car into the car-port!

James

+1

Nice wagon!

Cheers for those 13"s too by the way. I recognized that wagon from those fancy rims. ;)

That's one clean L series!

You'll be surprised where your L series will take you. And where you'll end up with it - EJ'd/lifted, whatever ends up biting you ;)

Cheers
