I did massage a little of the front panels a bit, I plan to cut them off eventually if I need to.
I'm up and down the highway 50km each way to and from work and to and from uni (if I don't catch the train) most days of the week. So having the bigger wheels gives her a bit of an easier ride. Don't usually get much past 2000rpm down the highway with 27"s

Pretty sure I can buy it by the metre over here but I'll probably end up getting a roll. Will probably just make 4 pairs of flares and then a set of silly big flares and mudguards for the second Leone I'm getting for parts (still runs though apparently) from Subibaja (came with Roxy), and whack a couple of home made spacers on to sit the wheels almost entirely outside the arches. Gonna be a mad paddock basher ;)

So... Happy Easter Weekend everyone!

I went down to my place (Boyup Brook, WA) and visited the Fergison Valley this weekend.

An 800km round trip, fully loaded, up and down all manner of hills, Asphalt, Gravel and soft boggy sand all included. :)

Some photos from my property...

Property looks not dissimilar to mine. How many acres are you on?

I'll get some snaps down the back next time I go ;)

I took a lot of photos this trip, planning sheds and tracks and all sorts! I've got 150 Acres.

OF COURSE!

I'm on 42 where I am, we also have 10 down the road that the grandmother lives on.

Most of our tracks we bashed ourselves with the old Ford 3000 tractor and then cut down the regrowth as it came. Fun having a bit of land to play with ;)

Also fun scaring cattle by revving the guts out of your car hehehe

Yeah, I'd like a tractor one day... Among all the other bits of sh*t I need to buy. :p

Sounds grand. :) I'll move down to my place someday.

On to the pictures...

Remember these?

Image

well,

I got some of these today...

Image

Guess what colours they're going to get painted. ;) They're a set of 4 4x114.3, 14" rims. Since my hubs have been drilled to fit these, and they were going for beyond a bargain price, they had to be mine. ;)

Just need another 14" 4x114.3 steely to be a spare.

On a side note,

Does anyone want to purchase a set of five 14" 4x140 rims with legal tyres on 4 and a brand new tyre on the spare? They've a rough, but solid/stable matte black paintjob, all hold air.

Image

I'm not always one for aesthetics, but I'm up for it in this case.

Something came in the mail today!

Finally have a Shiny shiny thing!

A what?

Some chrome for that tailgate!

Image

Dented, but wholly intact and still with its end-caps!

Image

Very big thanks to T.Farm.Brumby for finding me one!

Image

I also fitted the new tonneau cover today! I had to drill out and fix 20 odd pop-studs to the chrome on the ute to get the top half to stay on.

Image

Image

It doesn't seem well fitted to the ute though it is a Brumby tonneau cover.

It might have been fitted for one with two over-bars.

So I will need to find/make some up I think to get the cover a little tighter.

Now all you need is a tailgate with less dents than your chrome strip :)

Cheers mate! The property, and the Brumby need a lot more work for sure!
TOONGA wrote:Now all you need is a tailgate with less dents than your chrome strip :)

TOONGA
The tailgate actually has less dents than the chrome strip! ;)

But, dents or no dents, I have one now!

Do you have a tailgate in my colour that's in perfect nick you'd like to donate? :p

Some chrome? :D

Dents are irrespective.

I have RSR doing a disk brake conversion for me on Friday morning with some ex-vortex brakes and from there, she'll be much closer to a finished project!

Sorry again for the delay brother :/ hahah.

Maybe you won't sell it now. Or at least wait until I have the money for it.

Where'd you get the tonneau cover from? I reckon that would fit over mine quite nicely with the roll bar in.

Jealous ...

Hmm chrome ... :)

How much was it ? as I wouldn't mind a new one too ... !

P.S. - I am also still after a set of them end inserts ... :-(

Cheers, Bantum ...

So when you get the discs in are you getting the hubs drilled to the 114x4 pattern?

TOONGA
They wont, I'm running the 4x140 Subaru pattern now, on some 14" rims... If you come down to RSR on Friday morning you'll see it. :)

If you're interested in the 14" 4x114 rims I had pictured above in the thread, as well as the drilled hubs coming off my Brumby then we could work out a deal if you'd like the lot? I could do with some space in the shed! :D

Otherwise, I have two sets of wheels - a set of 13" 4x140's with treads, as well as some 13" with no real tyres to speak of in the same stud pattern.

Do me a deal and take the lot? ;) ;) ;)

You could pay me in installments? ;)

I got it off either here or gumtree a while ago. I've had it sitting around as a too-hard project until I could be bothered with a 3.5mm drill bit and some pop-studs to do the top section of it.

Not new! Haha Very scrapped.

I got a killer deal from T.Farm.Brumby because, well, he's just a completely top bloke.

I wouldn't mind two more end-inserts, as the ones on the body-work chrome are long, long, long gone.

Howdy ! Just picked up on this thread from all the way round the otherside of the world in the UK !
I'm just about to implant an EJ22 and transmission into a 2" lifted MV (Brumby) which is sat on 15" rims.
Any chance you could post up some piccys of the engine bay and gearbox ?
Thanks !

I have some underside photos I will post within the next week or so, but no top end ones. (It's a mess anyway!)

Glad you enjoyed it. Being in the UK for a month was a very enlightening experience.

I loved Dorset completely.
