I was hoping for 14's, but the best run was a 15.8@145kph. It takes a couple of secs to properly rev out 1st and falls off boost when it shifts into 3rd. It creeps back up toward 10/12psi from around 5psi as you're crossing the line.

I got a couple of vids though, and there weren't any dramas. The best achievement is being able to drive it home :P

Did Chris ever run it on the 1/4? I'd be keen to see what times he ran!

you are not driving it properly :P

good for 13.8 .

Haha, have you taken it down the 1/4 before? Please share your techniques :)

I was boost braking while the tree was lighting up, hitting 6 or so pounds before the lights went green... Then just pin it until the finish line!

I've got a couple of updates i'll post up soon, been super busy with uni recently...

Also has anyone seen this before? Chris this might interest you actually:

Couple of small updates.

-I finished my interior finally

-I found a mint rear bumper at the wrecker that i swapped for mine which had been hit pretty hard (the support was caved in) and the cover plastic bumper cover was torn at the sides.

Image

- Also fitted some gas struts because mine were blown.

- And FINALLY (way overdue) spent some time diagnosing the ABS system. Turns out the front TWO sensors were both faulty

Image

Turns out neither of them had resistance. I could see that one was worn right through (contact with the tyre, but the other side (left side) had no breakages i could see...

Anyway replaced those sensors and ABS light is gone, and ABS is functioning again! Feels good not having warning lights on the dash :)

- Put some fresh tyres on today, 2 were bald and one had a nail and only held air for a couple of days, hahaha. Also had some semi slicks that i needed to put on the Civic. Love'n the wagon!

Image

Did you ever hear about those bigger turbos coming available Chris...? :D:D

droooool . please tell us you have and use a steering wheel locking device ...some say they are a 90% theft deterent and your waggot needs a bit of that.

Good work on the ABS light out, where'd you learn the values and procedure ???

You reckon my nanna car needs it?

Haha, i do have one actually... I might start using it.

Chris left a ABS code procedure chart that listed all the code values and how to diagnose which sensors were causing issues. It also had the values for what resistance was acceptable for each sensor. It was pretty easy though, because both sensors didn't change the reading at all haha.

they ones on it are VF13/14 the ones bryan has are VF18/19 - they are a direct bolt on. the VF25/26 are another option but you need more fuel before you swap to those. the 18/19 combo will wake it up anyway.
as for driving it - simply pin the pedal and hang on. if you can keep the thing on song it will smack the 6800 redline quite quickly in first and just as quick in 2nd. by the time you hit 3rd its well over 160..
keep the box in power mode. it is a LOT snappier with the changes. the switch needs fixing. use a gear lever off a heritage BG5 as that will match what is there.

that box btw has a shift kit and 3 extra clutches in 1,2nd gear. there was a reason for the $4.5k receipt that is in the book.

. if you are playing in nebo with it be VERY careful. it will swap ends with out warning on you. playing out back of north pine dam is equally fun. also the car IS speed limited to 185. if you are going to play on the track with it bear that in mind when it hits a wall at 185. it will ign cut. good to see you got the ABS up again. I never really had time to fully diagnose why it kept throwing the light.

I used to leave that car wide open in the middle of a major shopping centre. no one looked twice at it.

then again I didnt pop images of it around the net either nor did it show at a lot of car related events :)

if you are going to show it off I would find a way to kill the ign on it. an immobiliser WONT do it. (and do not let the 18y/o from the local chain store near it either.)

Oh neat!

So it's wired to the gear selector, but the button is just faulty? I'll have to find a new nob! (:P)

Haha, jesus. I was wondering why it shifted so hard for a 'stock auto box'... Because it's not a stock auto box Hahaha.

Cheers for the heads up. My Civic has ignition cut at 180 as well (JDM ECU's...) It's not a nice feeling hitting it!

Stops on a dime now! Which i'm sure you know :) Especially with new tyres on it...

I only post it here, seems like a good community in this neck of the woods :)

Hahah. At the moment it needs a new starter (solenoid keeps jamming and wont crank when it's hot, or if there's any electrical load on the battery ie lights/radio). So i figure they're not going to get far at the moment anyway!

The starters the same as any late 90's auto liberty i'm assuming? Hoping to pick one up next weekend.
