G'day,

Just thought id introduce myself and show you guys my L series.

I bought it about a month ago, it was completely stock and had 167,000kms (not bad for an L series...)

Since then i have put:

14inch pug wheels (got some king sunraysia's on order)
185/80/14 Maxxis bravo mud terrains
2inch cat-back exhaust - 1 muffler and a flexi-joint (sounds great! :D)
Pioneer headunit
Subaru stcikers

Mods to come:

King springs in the front
Honda civic springs in the rear
Kyb shocks
2inch lift kit
rear bar

Having fun out in the macedon pine forest

167K kms is nothing - good buying.

Looks pretty straight.

Those Pug wheels look pretty good in white.

And welcome.

Welcome to ausubaru ;)

You should give this a run on the next weekend out - looks like its going to be the weekend after the queen's birthday long weekend...

Sounds like you've done your research on the mods, you've got a good list going there ;)

Cheers

Yeah! Looks like we might be starting a lifted L series posse of the Macedon Ranges

Where have you taken this little subi joy so far? Cobaw has a great range of tracks from simple beginners stuff to "my subi just won't do that, but then again, nor would most 4wds" kind of tracks. The lerderderg is good too but very spread out in sections.

Cheers guys,

Mainly just around macedon/mt macedon. Quiet surprised at its offroad capabilities already! tyres are great, should be even better with the lift.

Rear bar/wheel carrier is getting built at the moment and i have an air compressor im going to install in the engine bay.

Got some civic springs the other day from the wreckers but they didnt fit :( . After some more research i believe the donor civic was a year to new...
Might get some 86 - 89 accord springs instead (atleast i know they will fit). I was contemplating getting some lowered accord king springs as i dont really want the rear to sit higher i just want it to not sag with some weight in it. But i get the feeling they would be too hard??
I also grabbed some rear shocks from a 2wd leone which apear to be a little longer than the ones i have now.

Might have to take a raincheck on the trip, going to be busy that weekend.

Cheers, Matt

These things happen mate! That wasn't out at the chute was it? I've got a story about that, it involves a welded diff's maiden voyage, a flat tyre and a mate with a dodgy back at the time... Quite a laugh now between those mates :D

Cheers

G'day. nice L-Series. Good to see another Green P-Plater on the forum, I am too over here in W.A.

I had a Subaru sticker on my windshield exactly the same as yours but removed it yesterday. it was on there for about 2 weeks then i pulled it off. Just didn't match with my blue Foz, maybe if she was white. It was really bright and you could read it from the other end of the street

I just got my sunraysias. looks so much better, and drives so much nicer now the wheels are balanced. Will upload some more pics soon

Still waiting on my rear bar/wheel carrier

Next mod will be some sort of rear storage system in the back and then maybe a roof basket. Anyone seen any good ones? so far im leaning towards the rola vortex
