Paul's 22B Self-Gratification Pics =)

Post by RSR 555 » Mon May 16, 2011 6:06 am

Just thought I'd share this as it gets me excited every time I look at them

A few years ago I was an active part of another forum and we did a memorial cruise for the fallen gods (Subaru drivers) of the World Rally Championship. I thought it would be an awesome tribute to dress up the 22B in the WRC stickers. I've been thinking.. I'd love to get the WRC Bonnet (with scoop and vents), Roof Vent, and some WRC styled Speedline rims and also have the stickers back on but think it may just be a little over the top?? What are your thoughts?

**Apology: Sorry in advance if these pics attract some invidious attention but I can't help myself :p
You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

I still remember holding on as I was repeatedly squashed into the passenger seat as we made a mad dash to Welshpool from the workshop to get a new distributor cap for my car. every set of lights we pulled up at got stares and greetings I had a cheshire cat smile the whole time.

Sadly for some reason Paul won't let me drive it :(

leave the 22B as it is :)

don't pimp out a sweet collectors item. Buy an old GC8 rally car and do it for real, more fun, less $ at risk and no wank factor...

That shouldn't bother Carmelda :) (and where is he by the way has the Rigs wireless go onthe fritz again?)

I once told him to put a lift kit in the 22B and got a look that could only be rivalled by the angry woman look :)

This is subaru porn...

I reckon you keep it stickerless and as suggested, get another WRX. Or even better, another 22B then go nuts on the stickers/vents/scoops

Cheers

If I had a 22B I'd be posting self gratification pics of it as well. This is the closest I will ever get to owning one :

Absolutley - there is nothing worse that a road car 'done up' to look like a rally car (even if it is a 22B to start with).

Ok... I'll leave it stock :( there is a few things that will be done to the engine/ecu but nothing that can't be switched back.

As for doing it to another GC8.. well it would never be the same without the fat guards and there is no way I'm putting those wierd fibreglass ones on.

btw.. sorry for the late reply.. computer had a big 'airgap' n the electrical dept. and the work computers block forum sites :( All sorted now though :)
