As always Dave hatchie is a work of art in a league of it's own, I'm sure you're proud of it and if not you should be.

Not easily... i have put a lot of detail into making it all very compact.... utilising the little space i have.

I still have another stereo amplifier to install and air con... yes it doesn't have air con. :(

I am also trialing a satelite SMS tracking unit... alowing me to control and track the vehicle via SMS on a phone. But it seams to be more of a w*#k factor thing than anything else.

dave,

like the car. there is a LOT of gear in such a small space though. how do you keep it dry?

the GPS unit you mention - which one is it? ( I sell them so I'm curious.)

The GPS is just a Magellan Meridian handheld GPS with the in car mount kit and wiring. I also have the Austrlian Streets and tracks loaded into them.

We sell them also... hence the high amount of electronics in the car.

Keeping the stuff dry is probably my biggest problem... i have already blown up 2 amplifiers from water damage. Although i now have made space for the amps where water wont be a problem.

I see you fitted a radar detector...
How many times has that thing saved you?
I am scared about getting one coz i dont know who to trust (as to whether they are detectable in SA) when buying- not keen on the MASSIVE fine and loss of license thing.

There is a no model that is apparently un-detectable... Over here in WA they are still legal to have and buy. It has payed for itself alteast 5 times over... once it didn't save me though cos i had the stereo up too lound and never heard it.
