Reading through an oldish (read: no posted on for a while) thread I thought I'd add some stuff that I think I know to the following:
someguy wrote:Whats the tiny 1 2 and 3 on the speedo for?

Is it to indicate what gear you should be in at certain speeds?

Because 40 in first gear seems a little extreme hehe, my L Series 5 speed starts to make a whining noise (only in first and reverse) after 20km/h - 2000RPM let alone 40km/h (don't think I have ever gone past 25 in first)
I believe these little numbers are indicators to say not to go further than the indicated speed in the gear number shown in the little circle. I did this in Sunnie the Brumby before we swapped the dash and I can tell you they sound like they are revving VERY hard! I've not compared with the tacho since installing it... Something to do one day ;)
phantomD wrote:On a side note, my heater control no longer clicks and is not moving properly since install, is that something easy to fix?
Hope you've got this sorted already, if not here's the fix: On the passenger's side of the heater box the cable from this heater control lever meets with a geared plastic thing that then operates another cable (and the heater core air duct flap) that operates the heater core's tap to allow hot water to flow through the core for your heater...

Sweet brumby too! Super low k's!!! How many has it got now? I once managed 100k kms in just over 12 months. Crazy days! Now I'm averaging between 40 and 50k kms...

Cheers

28, 900 :(

I have a few plans for this car but keeping mum right now, will do a write-up further down the track. Top priority is to fix up the body, keeping the car looking like stock with a few enhancements around the place.

Back again to dangle a carrot...there are some BIG plans for this car at the end of this year. I'm tossing up whether or not to do a write up...I will definitely post some pictures on here anyway. It will be very exciting to drive when everything is done...which may take a few months.

Holy credit card debt Batman!

my AC buttons no longer light up due to my fiddling.... I have two buttons , one on the left controls the left fan, right does the right fan - manual switching. Right fan also uses thermo switch

The AC is missing in the forst shot ?

I'm not saying just yet!! Certainly you may get the idea from a few threads that will pop up around the place in the next little while.

Yes I thought the backlit A/C button was a nice touch too. :)

This is turning into a real case of "spot the difference"!! Even I didn't notice that, haha. Thanks for your help with those stickers by the way.

Nothing like a bit of suspense to get us going :)

The relays on the driver's side strut tower.

What colour did you paint the aircleaner?

Gary ;)
