Alright finally an update

Changes
- 2" lift kit
- 27x8.5 Kumho Tyres
- 14" Rims

BEFORE
Image

AFTER
Image
Image

So far the issues I'm still having...
- Rear break hoses are too short
- Front wheels rub mud guard and corner metal at front (will fix these tonight)
- Gearbox is noisy when the choke is out a little (ignorance might be the solution here)
- I think Fatz broke one of my CVs :(
- Need longer rear shocks (no lift blocks for them)

As soon as my headlight replacements arrive I will put them in, already done the wiring.

If you look at that post that has the pictures, I've changed plans a bit, I'm no longer going 5 stud, I'm staying 4 stud, so I have 14" Rims with 27x8.5 Kumho 834 Tyres.

In fact I think I will update the 1st post with the list and update it as I go.

How much were those tyres? They look sweet as.

Huge change in the look of the car with the lift and the rims!

Go the mighty brumby!

I payed $180 for the tyres, way too expensive, but I decided the brumby deserved them as a 24th birthday present.

Alright guys and girls, its been a long time since I've actully posted anything in here so here are a few pictures of the brumby bogged out at henty dunes, will get photos of my mods and stuff hopefully tonight if I remember.

I have done some fiddling, which is good cos im slowly learning stuff, played with the timing advance (learned what it sounds like when you go too far), increased the idle (was allways rattling on idle even when warm), wired up the H4 replacement lights and relay system, put some landcruiser rear shocks in (maxi trak I think they are called repco had them in stock so I just got them), put rear disc breaks on was a bit of a shit job because me not knowing any better let the lines bleed dry during my lazyness in getting longer flexy hoses, oh and best mod of all is my chrome painted grill.

The gearbox shits me a lot, has a tendancy to pop out of gear when in 4WD high or low, so my workaround has been to utilise one of the passengers hands as a shift holder, anyone know if there is an easy fix for this? or should I just put up with it till I can be bothered finding and putting an EJ engine and gearbox in.

There is a 4WD selector cable... I kinda figured there must be somthing, to make the 4WD selector work, I will have to discover this cable and tinker with it.

Ohh I just remembered another thing which annoys me, damn wheels rubbing on metal, so i will get the hammer, hacksaw and drill out sometime purchase some flares and make it all look sexy.

40 or 45 series landcruiser shocks should fit the MY series rear you will need to cut the pin and eye out out of your origional shocks, and press them into the landcruiser shock bushes, I just got whatever heavy duty ones repco had instock, unfortunatily they are only like 1" longer than the stock so they still hit full extension thats why im planning to stick some 2" shock lift blocks in.

Alright peoples a small update, no real mods done yet, im a bit lazy, the only mod ive done is a coke bottle mod to stop the water and oil going into the carby because of the blown head gasket, more pics of the brumby on a 4wd trip in the link below.

showthread.php?t=9655

managed to colapse a rear wheel berring because i didn't do the castle nut up properly :( had to abandon the brumby up a graavel track for 3 days waiting for a replacement, got a second hand control arm, berring and driveshaft for $120 and the cv's are good (quite happy with that score).

Anyways hopefully an EJ22 turns up soon i need the power!
