How ya going with turning those wheels? I'd imagine it'd make doing hillclimbs / mudwork pretty tough? I've been so tempted to go over 27" for the extra clearance but I don't want to if I lose ability.

i havent had it out for a while coz ive got an ej22 to put in it... will be payin risin sun steve for the adapter plate stuff on monday so ill have to keep you posted on how thats going
but most of all how it goes when its all done

l series front ones coz theyre slightly longer and appear to have a bigger doj on the inside

havent looked into what rears im going with yet

The L series outers don't work with the MY hubs, the shaft's don't bed in properly leaving a few mm of play, can make things pretty hairy while driving, and thats was just with one, I imagine that if both front wheels could go where they want it would be brown trousers time. 8O

I have been told that you can put the MY outers on the L series shafts though.

fired up this arvo... only had one wire wrong which was stopping it from working

only got the headers on so it was a bit noisy and not too much playing with it tonight

but it runs

drove there without any dramas (sounds like opne of the front cv's needs replacing tho)

will pick it up today sometime (i hope)

I'm interested in what body mods were required to fit those tyres under the rear arches.....im thinking of something similar for my 3" lifted L series.....6 lug conversion with 15" wheels sounds good to me.

a lot of guard "trimming" theyre cut right out to the rear doors

and i still rub the rear wheels over a decent bump

going to try some l series rear struts and see what happens there

How do you find the ej for turning that size wheel? What's the low-range crawl like?

When you bought the wheels did you just ask for "navarra" offset, or did you need to be more specific?

the ej22 with the 3.9 L series 5 speed is awesome

has the power to spin all 4 in 1st high from abuot 2000 rpm

crawl is a little too high for serious 4wding, wont quite hold you going down a steep rocky hill, but going up is a breeze

and i just went in to the tyre shopand told them what they were for and they said navara offset would be the go (after tons of questions about how i was planning on fitting 30's on the soob)

BRUMBERTY would be able to give you more info on the offsets and he just went through it all

navara offset for the fronts on mine,
(which is 50mm wider than the rear due to steering mods)
IFS landcruiser offset for the rear corrected this.
