Id say it would be a waste of a Genuine RX
If you want to build an insanely quick car, sell the RX to somebody who will do it justice.
Buy a cheap wagon, rebuild an EG33 with a big turbo, then add an AWD auto with manual shift body and R180 rear diff, this will hold close to 500hp. Then add coilovers and 5 stud conversion so you can put on bigger rims to take bigger tyres. Then will be safety gear required for running 10sec times.
Budget $20,000 to get to this point reliably, but expect to spend a lot more.
Is it really worth it? Not really
A later model EJ207 from a bug eye WRX has the potential, but if you dont do it properly, it will only end in tearsAnyone got 330+ hp out of their ej unopened, purely with bolt ons?

This is why we generally shouldn't post up after "happy" fridays ,ideas get a little bit out of control...a few hours sleep and common sense returns...mental note ,do NOT get on the internet after a few beverages.....What provoked this was seeing a few bubbles in the radiator the other day and realizing i would have to remove the EA for some fresh head gaskets.Probably not a bad idea to do anyway to keep things nice and tight and should the temptation be to add a few extra psi at a later date.

Car is still for sale if anyone is serious,i've withdrawn it a few times off Gumtree because of timewasters, will even deliver interstate personally if the price is right. Price is negotiable if going to a good home and you arent going to paint the gauges white, or cut the car in half to use the front buckets and e82 turbo in your brumby! (1 prospective buyer mentioned this plan and i nearly gagged).
