Sweet.. what was it in the end Dave? it's usually something simple but trying to find it is another story :p

well after doing about 2500 kms in it now, i had an intermittenbd fuel leak, and was puddling under the vinyl in the pssenger foot well.

i cant for the life of me find there the leak is comming from. its dissolved all the sound deadening and left an awefull smell in the car...but i just cant find it.

goddam but its helped me quit smoking pretty quick :S

Did you enlarge the return fuel line? It could be coming from in the engine bay, through a dodgy rubber grommet into the cap thus pooling on the passenger's floor. Just because its puddling on the inside of the subi doesn't mean that's where the leak is...

Hope you get this one sorted. Sounds like its going well other than this "little" problem.

On a side note - mums got a friend who quit smoking along with her husband. They decided that they'd spend the money saved from cigarettes on DVDs. Within a year they had OVER 600 DVDs and had to take out an insurance policy on their collection as the house and contents wouldn't cover it!!! Crazy how much you spend on smoking - and I'm not just talking about the $$$$s, your health is most important and I've seen many who have smoked for years try to do everything to reverse the damage to no avail...

Hope you keep the habit kicked ;)

Cheers

yeh benny... the return line is 10mm and goes under the car...sperate to the others

its not running from the engine bay down..already checked.

tomorrow is crunch day...NEED to sort this...kind of more then a "little" problem...heh

as for the smoking benny, yeh well..i been trying to stop for years...finally got my excuse and i will be sticking to it... my health is already VERY VERY average, had may operatnions on my back, knees and more recently my heart. so its time to live a bit mroe healthy!

was the dash difficult to fit in? and because your using the doner cars dash did that mean you didnt have to cut up the engine loom? just had to re-power the lights/taillights/indicators etc ??
