Lifted 84 MY Coupe
Lifted 84 MY Coupe
Not many of these around now and even fewer lifted. I have had this for a few years and I saved it from a wrecker as an ea81 auto. First mod session was to fit EJ18, lib AWD box and wagon 4wd rear end and do the 5 stud conversion. As seen below
After having it like that for 12 months or so and selling my Liberty it was time for another lifted car so the Coupe came off the road and got a few upgrades. I got an anaolgue dash from an 82 model and all it's wiring to make the interior look completely standard as in round 1 I used Impreza wiring and dash cluster which was functional but not very neat.
I then fitted a 3 inch lift and Outback front struts which only needed a 1 inch strut top. The gearbox was dismantled and an L series low range fitted along with a plated LSD rear diff centre from an RX Turbo. As I allready had the 5 stud conversion the forester 16's I had fitted with 28 inch BFG all terrains were the ideal fit. To power it all I sourced an EJ22 and had a mate help with splicing in the wiring for the ECU. Inside it looks factory, not so under the bonnet.
The result below
I have had it on a number of offroad excursions and it performs very well
