I am in the market for some 14" wheels and seeing Scorpions are too dear, im gonna go with Speedy Desert Rats.

I went to the local Beaurepairs and he quoted me $90 each

Has anybody done better?

nah $90 is right. I payed that when i bought a couple of new ones.

$55 sounds like the stock 13inch ones.

Ok thanks,.. i'll go down and see if i can get a deal on wheels and tyres if i buy 8 of them.

I was planning on putting on 205/65s but saw an L with desert rats and 185/65s and they were flush with the guards, which means no flares.

I cant decide now, maybe i will go with 195's and be in the middle.

I've got 185/60/14 on a set of desert rats and they're nowhere near been flush with the guards. They must be close to 1.5 - 2cm past the guards on the front. BTW I got my set of rats, center caps, and tyres the whole lot not even 12 months old for $180 off eBay.

I recently got some King Wheels, Gannon. They cost me around $70 each. They look very "Speedy-esque"

Gannon, whatever tyre you get go for a common size - ie look in the bob jane catalogue and see what sizes are advertised...

Used to piss me off having to order tyres for the RX - fortunately now the 185/70/13 seems to be getting more common - but nothing worse than having an 'off' sized tyre

Looks like you could get them in a 15 or 16 inch rim... Wonder if they can be drilled to the L bolt pattern?

Cheers

Same as the Speedies im thinking - I got new tyres at the same time - so its a bit hard to tell - but they still stick out.

They are not just re-badged Speedies though - they are subtley different.

Not sure about the 15", 16" options Bennie. Ive only been interested in 14" wheels.

The wheels we get (14") are around $70 each now. They look just like the speedy if you want. Also available in two other patterns. Offset is closer to standard than the speedy.

They used to be available in a 15" for an order of 20. Trouble was when we tried to do the group buy not every one could agree on the style.

Hey Brett

Any chance of a group buy of 14"s? I PM'd you a while ago about it.

I'll buy 8, more if need be.
