G'day,
I'm sure I've read somewhere here or heard that you can mod a front suspension component, so that 27" tyres won't rub on the front of an L series.
Does anyone know what that is?
Are they available anywhere? Or easy enough to do yourself?
Any help appreciated.
Cheers

maybe adjustable struts? if its a very early model. Prob only option is lifted springs(i see youve already got a 3inch lift)....otherwise youll have to trim your guards a touch. 27's will fit on a 3in lifted L....heck, mine do!

Yeah the 27" tyres fit but do hit the firewall sometimes. I was thinking if the wheel could be moved forward about 20mm or so maybe it would rub. Maybe lengthen the radius rod a bit? Not sure?......

Yeah people put in adjustable radius rods or ones that are just longer...but this twists the control arms and causes the bushes to flog out quicker.
It's easier to just beat the rear of the inner guard in slightly with a hammer and do a little guard trimming...

lol...put a new bush in at same time and it pretty much wont be a problem for a VERY long time.
unless of course ya go crazy on the radius rod.
