Finally after 8 months on back order, my tyres are here.

Went to check them out in the tyre shop today and took a few photos with crappy camera phone.

I am stoked. Cant wait too see them on the car. More pics soon.

They should suite the Tas terrain nicely. Make sure you put some fitted and testing out pics up for us.

god dam, they are a nice bit of rubber there. local shop tryed to put me onto them but had nuthing to show me! look like they are worth the coin!!!

I had a look at them when they were first released after Lightning posted the link on here. Decided that they were too aggresive for my racecar so went with the MTR instead.
Let us know how they go. I'm sure they will be unreal offroad just wonder how bad they'll aquaplane and stop you in a hurry.
Wouldn't mind trying a set on the silver ute.

picking them up on monday so will post some more pics once they're on the car.

I have 2 sets of rims, one with roadies and the other with these so not sure how much road driving these ones will get. Probably just to and from big trips.

Although i've just bought a road car now (ej20 turbo vortex) so there's not much point having roadies for the L series anymore... hmm.

will see how it goes.

What do you mean by tread void? I haven't heard this term before.

Looking at the tyres, they sorta remind me of Simex Jungle Trekkers and I agree that they'd be great in muddy / clay terrain. Not much siping on the tread blocks though, and I'd be interested to know just how much they howl at 100km/hr on the bitumen.

Yeah, I also run two sets of rubber (13" H/T's and 14" A/T's). When the A/T's wear out I'll most likely consider M/T's as a replacement. That will be a fair way off though as most of my driving is on the H/T's.

Certainly look the goods.I enquired a local tyre shop about these,they are in stock.$185 a tyre though.

I had to change that post because it didn't make sense but tread void is the area that doesn't have any tread (void of tread).
I have found that on a light car like a Subie, a wide tyre with a tight pattern doesn't give you enough grip. So offroad it won't dig down for traction and on-road it skates about on loose gravel and aquaplanes in the wet. They float well on sand but so does anything on a Subie. Case in point is the BFG All Terrain T/A 27x8.5R14.

not sure how deep the tread is, will measure when i pick them up. I'm sure it will be adequate by the looks of them

$185 is a good price. Make sure they are not trying to sell you the 834's, some places don't know the difference. I am paying $205 for these... Expensive i know but i reckon they will be worth it. Traction is your friend

Finally got round to putting theses on the car. Here's some pics. Needs a bit more masaging on the front guards but doesn't scrub when driving on bitumen so not too fussed atm.

Keen as custard? That's a type of custard I'd not heard of before!

Now if you'd said 'Keen as mustard', I'd have understood the phrase

The tyres look the goods. I'd be interested on your views as to how noisy they are on the bitumen, and how they perform off-road. If you could please post a report after you've driven them for a while that would be nice.
