hey everyone i was wondering what is the biggest size tyre i can fit under a 90 model liberty wagon with a 2 or a 3 inch lift without modding anything and any scubbing cause i was looking at the maxxis MT-753 thats available and i was thinking of getting them in a 205R16 which is 29x8.5x16.Could i get these or would i have to get the 195R14 which is 26x7.7x14.Another quick question what size rims and tyres did this model come out with
thanks steve

im running 16 inch x 6.5 (7 spoke imprezza)with 215 60 16 maxxis and 10 mm spacers to rear, rolled guards, with no lift im rubbing on spring perches atm with plans to fit early rex struts all round to give the extra clearance big difference in the gearing with this set up im using low range for first 5 gears then chuck it into high for "sixth" just something to bear in mind. umm standard wheel size was 14 or 15 inch i think from memory....

I'm planning to fit early model outback struts and springs to my liberty I've running 15inch forester rims and going to put 205/70/15 A/t tyres on it's got 2inch lift. Standard size rims and tyres was 185/70/14. 28 or 29 inch tyres I think would rub.

i've got a s1 wgn with 2in lift,g2 outback struts and springs,16in forrester rims with 215/70/16.thats 27in tall
The front mud flaps scrub a little on full lock, rears i had to cut and bend the section in front of the tyre, not a big job.The gap b/w the front of the rear mudgard and tyre is only 10mm,apparently outback lower contol brackets can fix that.Haven't fond any yet.
If you want to fit that big tyres you have 2 use o/back rear struts,if you use std lib,the tyre will rub the lower spring plates.
Do a search on this forum,i have pix somewhere.
Good luck
Chris

Good thread mate, I'm in the same boat haha.
I'm also thinking of moving to 27s with forrie struts, but if they rub or very close to it, i might got something a few inches smaller maybe

There should be a chart somewhere on this site with, what wheels fit on what with which lift kit?
