Does anyone have any recommendations for a good onroad tyre. Im driving a b4 with 17x7 wheels. currently have 17/215/45 tyres on there. The fords and commodores run 17/235/45 so those tires are pretty cheap compared to my size, anyone running this size? Dealers are telling me around $210-280 is what im looking at is this reasonable.

have a look at bridgestone potenza G3's

I run a set as my road tyres and they have been excellent. Subydazz runs them too

theres not much "standard" about my wheels ;)

I am running 215/60R16 on a 16x7 WRX alloy. 215 seems to be about the right width for the 7" wide rim. standard wheels on my car were 185/70R14 ;)

I get this size really cheap, because it is the same size that they run on falcons / commos / foesters / outbacks etc. They sell a ton of them so they are alot cheaper.

If you can find a commonly used size that suits your car, ou will definately save alot of money.

yeah, mines a 17 inch rim so the 215/45 is a bit odd at that size. The 235 is the common one. And the fords i know have a 7 inch wide rim also so it think it should be ok i just didnt want to go buy them if they dont fit. But its only 20mm wider so i cant see a big problem and will save me about $200.

will your tyre place do a test fit on one rim for you?
