03/04 Outback Offroad Tyres

Post by T.Farm.Brumby » Tue Feb 03, 2015 11:03 pm

Hey all, I've been away for a bit looking for cars :D but I'm back.

Anyways. I'm after a 3L outback (04 shape/model) and I've found one, just looking at what size tyres I can stick on it with a lift kit.

So, what are the biggest tyres anyone has fitted to a gen 2 (?) outback with a 3 or 4 inch lift under it?

I have looked at Frug's lifted 05 forester with the 215/70R16 BFG all terrains, and they seem alright but there are some Bridgestone 245/70R16s going cheap at my work at the moment, which are a bit bigger but will be better value and easier to get my hands on.

Any help would be great :)

Cheers,
Tom.

tl;dr

You might fit 215/70r16 but you'll have heaps of rubbing. Go 215/65r16 which are 27's..
245/70r16 will not fit on any subaru without major mods as they are 31's!!!
You can just fit 225/70r16 on a forester with lift and a fair amount of rubbing..
