ATV Wheels ...

Post by Bantum » Thu Nov 28, 2013 12:30 pm

I find it interesting that some ATV's do have the 4x140 PCD, although I'm not sure they would be suitable for a car application ...

Like they may not clear brakes & are not rated for large loads etc. ... :)

I'll post any that I do find here for interest sake :

Found here : http://www.ruckhouse.com/index.php/popu ... -v-12.html

( edit : links dead )

There are a few others, will add when I find them ... :p

The only problem is you must make sure the centre hole in the rim is only 94mm so that when it fits onto the wheel studs it also sits flush on the locating lugs on the hubs otherwise all the load is only supported by the wheel studs. I have speedy style sunraisers on my car and they have a 107mm centre hole so i made some hub rings to suit.

$300 is a little high but they have been cleaned up nicely. I have 2 sets of these off my MY EA81 turbo sedans

That last one looks like a Peco Star rim. I know they did make rims for 4x140 Subarus but certainly not many!

They have a 'square cut' look compared to Sunnies/King rims and a small square sticker (you can just make the remnants of it on the top left spoke in the picture) that stated PECO STAR.

Thanks Willy - just looked up Simmons on Google, the only reference I could find mentions they are the 'Vista' model - no sizes though ... :(

I'm assuming they are 13 x 5" for now ... :)

think the text with pic link says 15" x 6" , left out three piece compomotive rims. Every second car featured in fast fours n rootaries in the nineties and noughties had the famed east coast made Simmons ! These are a version of V5 Simmons, just no ornate work in the large flat centre. Gogle Simmons V5 in picture google.

About $400 each way back then, think Willy priced 17"s and fell over :p $770 each !

I just found these :

Image

Can be found here : http://www.allwheels.com.au/product.php ... 250&page=1

This from site :
15 X 6.5 BLANK 4H/5H
PCD from 98 to 120
OFFSET from -10 to +30

15 X 7.5 BLANK 4H/5H
PCD from 98 to 120
OFFSET from -15 to +25

Other Options: 2 Tone Anodize Color (Pink/Green/Purple/Yellow/Blue) available & Gun Metal
You would have to check with them on prices & whether the center is suitable for 4x140 pcd ... :(
