L series tyres

I've been looking for a new set of tyres for a good few weeks and can't find a damn thing (that I'm happy with).

I've got a L Series Touring Wagon which is lifted 2". It currently has 185r14 light truck tyres (an 80 to 85 profile I think) on at the moment.

The rims are 14" Sunraysia's, width i don't know but the 185's aren't stretched at all.

There is evidence that these tyres have scraped on the front mud flaps at full lock which is a bit of a pain, but...

I have read a few threads about Buckshots being the best option but I don't want to cut the guards yet - they are too straight!! - and i can't find anything else in a 14" size apart from whats already on there... I know people have had other 14" 4x4 tyres in the past but nobody seems to advertise them now!

Can you guys help me find something in Adelaide for <$150/tyre please?

And if 14" is too hard, would I be able to get a 15" that would fit without needing guards cut?

cheers

For 4x4 tyres i only found the buckshot in my searches. I have a set of 215/65r14 on my unlifted L at the moment though. Kumo i think. Not made for off road but still get the job done. About $130 each. a little massaging, no fender cutting, and they fit fine.

We found the 195/70R14 worked the best for us, both for no rubbing and perfect for the beach driving, which is 75% of our offroad driving.

Thanks, RSR 555 is that a particular tyre/brand?

Just any brand you feel comffortable with. I like Bridgestone or Pirrelli but it also comes down to budget

Can anyone show me a picture or anything that would help describe exactly what part of the guard needs to be 'cut' to fit 14" buckshots on a 2" lifted L series??
