Which tyres?

Hey guys,

So I bought a set of 14" sunraysia wheels (attached pic) and now just waiting to hear back from my enquiries for a lift kit. So once I have a lift kit done I will put the new wheels on but what tyres are you guys running on the 14" rims? I didnt realise the choice of A/T's would be so narrow but thats OK, im sure theres something suitible. Or maybe even just a light commercial or winter tread tyre?

Im not really planning to do serious offroading but just the odd rough track or whatever comes up when I go away camping etc.

I think the brumby I'm getting (is on a truck atm) has 14" sunnies.

it's running 27" tires from the description from the dude selling it.

I should have the brumby wednesday-ish so I can find out what the actual size is and brand for you

14" offroad tyres are hard to get, I just sold mine to upgrade to 15" (better range).
But you can find them on ebay occasionally.

mine were 185r14c maxxis mt 753 bravo mud tyres ad they rubbed until i massaged the guards, mind was not lifted at that point however.

I found I saved the advert when the dude sold my brumby to me.

it's got 14" Maxxis Buckshot

27x 8.5

has 2" body lift and looks like they fit ok (no guard cutting from what I know)

Where did you get the wheels from ? You did well to find these are they new or just unused and still boxed ?

Not sure exactly if they are new or have been sitting around or what, but I called beaurepairs in Hobart and asked them what was available for the L series, and they said nothing, so I asked can they order a custom sunraysia blank and have it drilled which they seemed to think was possible. But they called back and said theres a set in Launceston and they are yours for $69ea so I said OK! By the looks of them and the boxes I would say they have not been sitting around long tho, pretty clean and brand new looking.

Hi check out these guys, they seem to stock a few alternative sizes tempetyres.com.au the Bravo might suit you the centre blocks look reasonably close for on road.
Or there's the buckshot mud tyre.

The other mud option is the Kumho 71.

Yeah they will post for free and have an ebay account too. Can buy from them and have your local guys fit and ballance etc.

Also Tyreland in Western Sydney have a few harder to get options at a decent price. Though you will need to email them for more details.

I went into my local bob Jane And dynamic still make a 14" soobie wheel, I dont know what the offsets like I'll soon find out when I get them there $70 each.

Maxxis are good for us soobie lovers as they make offroad tyres in the smaller sizes, you can get the MA-751 AT in a 27/8.5r14 but when but some places say there "unavailable" in aus, but if you go to an actual maxxis dearler they can get them.
