I am about to put my original Subaru alloys back on the MY wagon but while they are bare of any tyres I want to polish them before the tyres go on.
In the past I have used the good old Mothers paste and some "elbow grease" but was wonding if anyone has come up with a more "mechanised" idea and if so where to buy it.
I have tried a buffing wheel in a drill before with some success but this does not reach all the necessary areas.

Don't those buffer pads on drills go wild on mags - too wild from my experience , the smaller the rim the harder the job.

Best polish refurb job I have done was on the wheel balancer, with various grades of wet and dry and a bucket load of WD40 - least amount of elbow grease involved :)

Oh, yeah, remove ya nipples first

on the trucks we use a aluminium cleaner it sends the metal white then polish it with the purple polish see your face in them. get it from the roadhouse servo was $27 a bottle last heaps. on the bike i was using the soap pads steel wool no name brand $2 a box to get the boot marks of the side casings and to clean the wheels
