Hello Guys,

I have just put a set of forester rims with big tyres on a 1st gen liberty, I wish i had done this a long time ago there so awsome.

But the reason that it has taken me a while to do it is cause i really really really wanted to put a set of sunraysia rims on it.

As i like the look of them so much...

Has anyone else tryed to do this at all

I will do it one day it is a goal of mine now...

Just remember the heavier the rim the worse the car will perform, there is a formula but I'm not too sure what it is but something like 1kg un-sprung weight is equal to 10kg sprung weight in the car.

They are the just a steel rim so they should be very similar to a forester or std liberty rim i would think ???

True, guess I just have a preference to alloys for the weight saving.

I have been thinking along the same lines . Most makers of these rims would supply blanks and then you can get them drilled to suit. Well put it this way. you used to be able to.

Yes if i was building a race car i would prefer a lighter wheel for sure.

I was thinking of putting in adaptors but considering the way that they fail, it would not be at all suitable for 4wdriving. Maybe might be not so bad on a smooth road. Also they are illegal.
