just wondering if anyone has had a set of rims powder coated and how much it set them back..

I had a set of 14" speedies done. Was expensive :( I think it ended up being about 70 or 80 bucks a wheel.
I didn't really shop around though, just went to a place in Osborne Park near work, can't remember the name now.

Yeah needs to be sand blasted first. Last quote i had was $100ea.

Shop around from shop you can find in the yellow pages and you should find a good deal.

can get brand new speedy 14inchers in l-series stud pattern for just over $100ea, some places more, some abit less.

yeah, when I was looking at getting a set of speedy wheels for my L, the lowest I got quoted was $80ea at Tyrepower in Greenwood, that's brand new white ones, (they don't come in black:( ).

Never really a fan of powder coating rims.

Powder coat does not flex like paint, so a rim that is re-rolled will usually lose some coating, where as paint will flex and can be touched up.

New speedies are about $90-100, powder coating around the same.

i've got a set of gt rims .. they're painted black with a home job look alright and was considering getting them done properly... but probably just strip them own and give them another home job... cheers for the info though.

over this side of the biscuit we cna get them done blasted and coated for $50 each, nearly any colour!
