Does anyone know...
I am after the "original" wheel / tire size for the 95 WRX Impreza (EJ20G, 4.111 running gear) so I can match up the speedo and performance of original WRX.
I am running 195 / 60 14 's which are too small. The Impreza I know are at least 15" probably 60 series from factory, but not sure. I have tried the WRX forums, but the forums are being restricted to paid memberships, to post
Speedo is too fast for actual speed . Not sure of the formula conversion from 3.7 to 4.111.
3.7 devided by 4.111 =.900024325, (9% difference) but speedo isn't nearly 10% out. probably 5 - 6% at a guess.
At least this would be a base to start, thanks
cheers

'88 Vortex AWD turbo with "go hard" attitude -
WRX EJ20G and box , TD05 Turbo and 4.111 running gear.
5 Stud conversion (Crossbred Performance) Multi pot GT Legacy brakes and 17" rims
Plenty of plans... the plans are getting done slowly;).... getting there - NOT!

Thanks Shaun, your a legend
Tranny code is close to TY752VB 3FA, being TY752VB 3DA/3FA so would be the same.
This will give me the correct , designed performance figures to start with.
Running 14's doesn't give me the legs - so looks like a hub redrill at the minimum, or a 5 stud conversion when funds permit ( + wheels) cause i'm not goin far on rotors only :P
Looking like a 4 corner rebuild, but then again will be excellent when done.
Cheers Chris

Code TY...3DA is from the WRX RA version designed for rally use, still 4.111 but tyre size is 205/55/15 6Jrim to cater for standard 15" rally tyres.
This may be an easier size for you to work from if you can find some Pug 15's???
Much better to do the "4 corner rebuild" - better brakes, rims, tyres, etc
