Getting "painted on" pinstripes off Speedy Wheels

Post by Fang » Mon Oct 06, 2008 6:50 pm

I am not a fan of the "painted on" pinstripe on Speedy wheels. I have removed these before on my previous wheels. However these new wheels are really testing my patience.

I have tried grafitti remover (for both acrylic and enamel), turps, methlyated spirits.. even brake fluid! After several sittings and much swearing and rubbing with wet and dry, I have managed to get them off one wheel.

Does anyone know of a product that will quickly remove these stripes? I don't want to kill the white paint underneath - but I'll be damned if am going to sit there for 3 more wheels covered in various chemicals.
