is space in the car an issue? or will this be for hiking duties?

It is very small. Are you going to use it for hiking, if you are getting it for travelling in the car why not a swag?

In our course at uni (Nature Tourism which is a poor name for the content) we live outta these things.
Choose carefully. I would say that with sleeping bags and tents its best to buy from a store, that way you know what it looks like, you can check the quality -> what someone says is good quaility may not be good quality in your book <- someone can demonstrate features of the tent.
You can also check it out for room and ease of setup/pull down. Also check out waranties if any.
If your using it for hiking, a two person is easily carried. And a tent this size would be easy to store in the car.
And consider how you spread your gear through the tent -> will you fit two ppl in there?
Also what are you going to sleep on? Thermarests are popular in our course and pack up easily and are realitivly small, but atm i have no money for one of these (usually in the 150 -> 200 bracket) and use the good old rolla mat.
