Trip to Broken Hill

Post by Sideways Subaru » Wed Sep 27, 2006 7:43 pm

G'day all

Will be headin out to Broken Hill with a local 4wd club on Sunday :woot:There's some 17 vehicles coming along which should prove interesting, and we will be heading to the silver city via Tilpa, White Cliffs and Blackfella's. One of the main aims of the trip is to visit all the small country churches (and pubs :D)that are still out there & give them a bit of support. Subi is all ready, with newly fabricated cv rubber gards and lift all installed. Hope to be back by the 9/10 and will post some picks.

Hey Look great thanks for the pics (i have not been out that way for AGES - i have family that reside there).
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

Yer i was the only suby in the group, but saw heaps of brumby's and foresters along the way. the car did struggle a bit tho-with 3 of us in the car as well as all the gear could only really sit on about 90 on the dirt. it's pretty dry out there atm with the drought and everything-one station we visited had to sell half their sheep. but some areas like Hillstone were quite green.
