Fishing & Camping Trip in Exmouth July 2010

Post by RSR 555 » Sun Jul 11, 2010 12:26 am

Hi All,

Just thought I drop a line ( now I have my wireless internet working ) and tell you about our little trip to Exmouth. It started a few months ago when Mike (aka Suba) mentioned that he was going to have to cancel one of his bookings at Exmouth Caravan Park because someone had pulled out. My eyes light up like a Christmas Tree at the thought of a fishing trip. I've had to fly out to work many a times from Learmonth Airport and the views from the chopper over Ningaloo Reef are just amazing. So I politely told Mike that he was not to cancel the booking but instead have some company.

The night before the trip I couldn't sleep.. wondering if we had everything packed but more due to the excitement of going up north. Well everything went as smooth as we hoped for. We got away at around 7am from Seville Grove and made it to the first campsite with time to get setup. I must admit I was getting worried but Mike had done this all before and was cool as a cucumber :)

Here's some pictures so far...

Day 1

Day 5 after settling in and getting organized, Mike and I had to show them what we really came to Exmouth for (Danielle still wanted to show she could still catch more)

Well that's the trip so far but more to come :p as tomorrow is Sunday and we must go to church (Mike's words) on the beach.. so please pray for us that we might be able to catch more fish and feed the multitudes :D

Thanks Longy we really did enjoy it and so will you I can guarantee it :) as for staying in places, I'd personnally would just stay at the Lighthouse Caravan Park as it's only a 10min trip to town and we found we spent more time on the top than anywhere else. Other places along the west coast side (and for any caravan parks for that matter) wll need to be booked well in advance as this time of the year they are all chock-a-block. Any camping spots are pretty much a muchness and not really far apart anyway.
