EA82T Headers

Post by soobygus » Tue Nov 22, 2005 3:54 pm

Does anyone have any pics of their (or someone elses) headers for the EA82T?

I have one that has a car with Q-land plate 976FZR about to recieve engine with headers, need a few more if possible.

Took her to the exhaust bloke today and he was freaking about lack of room. Hoping to get pics to him so he doesn't have any excuses.

reccomended sizes for left and right exhaust headers, Y-join, pre-turbo, turbo dump and then back to what type of muffler (good note)? no cat, don't need em in nz.

cheers,
Gus.
stock EA82T 1989 waggon, 3 inch lift and auto to manual conversion complete.
Rear LSD installed
2 inch extractors, 2.5 inch turbo-back, feels really good, need to chop the muffler out for better sound.
14 inch cooper stt's ready to go on in new year...

if you do a search, there are a few who have them,...
Look for TWE up pipes and headers.

They were never really what you would call a great design. There is little room however it can be done - sorry i have no pix of mine however if the exhaust shop you are going to is any chop they should be able to do something based on original. Other then this its the link that Suparoo posted.

Good luck

I run a twin 2" into 2.5" collector before the turbo. There is about half a centremeter between the manifold & the crossmember.
Mine took about 12 hours to complete & we needed to remove/re-place engine about 15 times to tack the pipe to get it to clear. I never want to do it again!
Will get some photos of mine for you....
In the mean time I know Jimmy (mAJORD) has a photo somewhere of his headers which are very similar to mine. Send him a PM, not sure how often he gets on here though.
