today in the rain i was doing some light off roading in my brumby and went a bit too fast through a small ditch and crushed the right header pipe, I also think it is pulled out of where it bolts on. The result was my ea81 brumby sounding like a really loud VW beetle or kombie haha, definately turned a few heads driving down the street (I first thought that I had ripped the exhaust off). Does anyone know much it would cost to fix and what would be needed?

Easiest would be to go to wreckers and get another set and then have them welded on

First of all STOP driving it! That looks crushed pretty bad. If the header tore at the mounting flange you could be melting other components in your engine bay.

If your exhaust can't freely exit the system you could damage your engine. Its not going to happen immediately but driving it too much will cause damage.

I'm guessing you don't have access to a welder? If the header isn't tore up at the mounting flange then you could just have a small chunk of pipe welded in where it was crushed.

I know in WA you can pick up a good front pipe from the wreckers for around 50 dollars

and it doesn't take much to bolt it on 2 new gaskets, some exhaust putty/ silicone and a little time

however if you have destroyed your exhaust studs then you will need to go to an exhaust shop and get new studs put in or buy helicoils and do it yourself

I got my flanges re welded on my brumby, slipped em $20 cash and they were happy, otherwise real cold beer late in the afternoon is worth its weight in gold this time of year!

took it to the exhaust shop today and they replaced the right header pipe and left studs/bolts (where it bolts to the engine) cost $130

Think you need a bash guard ASAP!

ouchie... yeah you need a bash gaurd too!!! hehe...
