G'day all,

Does anybody know of a decent exhaust setup for the EA81 to unleash the iconic bruble. Mind you a gutted catalytic converter isnt enough.

they used to use cat gut for stringing tennis raquets :) . I have no cat no resonator just a two inch all the way to a sports muffler at the rear. It is excellent for backing off past people on their mobie phones :) :0

I've got an 89 Brumby and fitted a 2" system with one straight through sports muffler at the back. No hotdog in the middle.

Its got the burbble and has increased its power slightly.

I wouldnt wanna get caught with no CAT converter, the fines can be very hard on the wallet.

Proven design is 2" from the cat/Y-pipes back with a hotdog halfway and a straight through at the rear. If you want a deeper sound, use a 2.5" muffler on the rear

if you want a rumble and still want a Catalytic Converter look at this one on ebay

2 inch inlet 2 inch outlet

you could run one on each pipe and have a balance pipe before or after them then run it into one pipe with a final exhaust or have 2 seperate rear pipes with 2 smaller exhausts or resonators for that really noisy exhaust

I have this but have a smaller, normal muffler. Would a 5 inch cannon be better for a deeper sound?

A 5 inch cannon will look 120% more gay than a 4 inch cannon. Especially on a brumby

If you want a deeper sound, get a 3" turbo muffler and make the tail pipe as short as possible

Back again. I got mine done at a muffler shop and he knew what I was talking about. He said don't bother with the hotdog in the middle, just a 2" straight through with a staight through muffler at the rear.
I was looking for better exhaust flow which I got and also a good note as a bonus.
