2” + 2” = 4” Lift.
2” + 2” = 4” Lift.
I am sure that I read on here quite some time ago that it was possible to achieve a 4” lift (for an L series) by just purchasing two 2” lift kits and stuffing them in there (a search for this did not turn up the information I was looking for).
In theory I could see how this would work (with the exception of the steering extension) however in practice would this actually work or will it throw the all the geometry of stuff out to much?
Comments welcome
Thanks.

Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

steering extension like u say will be wrong.
Bolts wont be the right length to go thru both lift block into captive nuts im presuming. some more nuts may be needed to and etc.
i can see how the F & R strut extenders shuld bolt together. and make the 4 inch blocks, and in theory id guess they shuld keep geometry pretty good still.
and the price of 2, 2" kits wuld be more than a 4 wuldnt it.

This certainly would not work.BlackMale wrote:I am sure that I read on here quite some time ago that it was possible to achieve a 4” lift (for an L series) by just purchasing two 2” lift kits and stuffing them in there (a search for this did not turn up the information I was looking for).

my 4" kit looks nuthing like a 2". id say its safer and wiser to go a propper 4" kit

Depends how the lift kits are designed, it may be possible but as others have pointed out, it would be far inferior to an actual 4" kit and just downright shoddy.
