Hey guys just wondering what the best way to paint my stock Brumby bull bar would be? ie sanding priming types of paint etc etc.

When I did the backs of the hoops of mine to cut down headlight glare I knocked the shine off the alloy with some 120 grit wet and dry then used Killrust Primer (which specifies Aluminium on the can) and then over the top with cheap enamel flat black.

Just get some primer suitable for alloy and do a few light coats, then over that with whatever top colour you require.

Spraying is best, even better with a gun.

Wattyl killrust Etch Primer - works great!

300g rattlecan grey is available at most hardware stores. It dries quickly and provides an excellent base for the top-coat.
