Ok guys this is my first update since starting my car and now its done lol!!.I got the car for free in great shape and decided to get to work. Its an 88 gl(here in the u.s.) that i made my own 4" lift for.I've gone through the entire car..bearings,cv's,brakes blah blah, swapped to a d/r tranny and wire harness(was an auto) painted olive grab and put on 27 9.50 swampers with 6 bolt conversion. So far everything seems to be perfect except the horn..big deal.I'm currently running ea82 fi but have plans to possibly go h6 from an old xt6 in the future as well as lower gearing..sooo what you guys think?

I'll get more pics tomorrow in the sunlight.

Pretty simple, took me about 2 hours to do all 4.Take off your hubs and or rear drums and first knock out two opposing studs. You can then mount a 6 on 5&1/2" pattern wheel, since the outside two studs on the subaru pattern are the sam as the outside studs on the six bolt. With the wheel mounted by these two bolts you can mark the new holes by using a 9/16"(or metric equivelant) drill and using the wheels holes as a template.Once done i took the wheels off and finished the holes on my drill press to keep things straight.A little clearance work is needed with a grinder on the front to get the studs in flush but the rear drums are real easy(however im going disc soon so i'll be doing it again),on the drums you just have to grind off a little from the stud face and your done.

you should put skateboard grip tape along the side where the holes are. It will go great with the flat green and also cover up those hole. That's what I did to 2 of my wagons.

I read that too,but i really dont agree with the technique. You really want to be as presice as possible since the center holes dont match the subaru hubs. The only thing making the wheel hub centric is the bolt pattern, you will get better results starting the holes with hub mounted to rim.Luckily tou do have the original 2 studs which line up right so as long as you tighten those first it will be quite straight, but you also dont want you other nuts to be way off center on the other holes.
