Hi all , my RX-T uses the twin V-belt system to drive the Alt/PSP/AC comp and water pump I think . I've seen pics of later EA82's that use a poly V belt and need to know if its a simpler less complex way to get the job done . Also due to its complexity and real estate stealing nature I think the AC is about to go over the shoulder to make things easier to get at .
Also a friend of mine has a late 80's Brumby and its alternator mounting system is far more compact/simpler/lighter than the EA82's monstrosity . I dont suppose the EA81 carby alt bracket fits and works ?

Cheers Adrian .

There's a factory bracket for the EA82's that doen't have AC. You can usually find one at the wreckers. The alt moves closer to the centre of the engine, where the AC usually sits.

Cheers

and from my recent discovery if you go from one system to the other the flange of the water pump needs to be 110 mm deck height for V belt as opposed to 105mm for ribbed flat belt.
