EJ22 adapter plate and 4X4 selector?

I have used a 16mm aluminium plate for EJ to EA gearbox which I believe may be 4mm thicker than the 12mm difference between EJ and EA bellhousings?

Any way...I find that on heavy acceleration the 4X4 lights on the dash come on and then go off...then today when hitting a large speedhump to test new shocks it actually shifted into high range 4X4 on landing..........My theroy is that the gearbox is sitting back slightly further and may have effected the selector?

any thoughts would be appreciated

You have not got a lift kit do u??

But from what u are saying... it sounds about right... Effectivly you have pushed your gear box back a 4mm... your probably lucky you have had no isses with your tail shaft.

Your going to have to play around with the linkages... maybe even get the 4wd linkage shortened or something.

Since u have a lift kit i would be inspecting the rear block that holds up your linkages... some brands of lift kits do not come with this block... i have found with a few lift kit installs that we have had to change things here to make the linkages work correctly.

Also u should find that the gear box crossmember lift kit blocks should be smaller than the rest of the kit.
