My new radiator

Post by timmo » Thu Mar 01, 2007 7:57 pm

Having a custom aluminium radiator built (29mm thick core) and getting a 12" davies craig thermal fan & ditching that horrible wining clutch fan. Should all fit without much fuss. This will just about be the most expensive part of the car! but hopefully overheating will be a thing of the past.

Just out of interest what sort of dollars are we talking? You don't have to kiss and tell but just interested. Soon I will be chasing one.

Well i'm sure you could get cheaper if you shopped around, coz i'm getting it done at a local place in the country. Around $700 for the radiator. Will have a holden Vectra alluminium core, and custom tanks. Will be the same lenth & height of the original just with the core around 7-8mm thicker and bigger tanks. Davies Craig 12' fan I paid $150 for.

Will be the most expensive part on my car!
