Ej22 Leone Time

Post by BrennyV » Mon Feb 26, 2007 5:45 pm

Ok lads, well im going to start this week to get all the parts I need to get the engine in.

1st up, were can I get a custom radiator made and what are peoples preferences or recommendations? Also I need to source an adaptor plate for the EA82 D/R to bold to the EJ..

I basically want to get the engine in and most of the mechanical side of things done so that then I can tackle the loom and ecu woes (maybe wave some money at the W.A EJ Wiring Guru ;) ) at a time when is going to be convenient for who eva I get to help..

Thanks in advance

My custom radiator was done by Swan radiators in Osborne park.

Liberty twin core + Brass tanks from a Holden Gemini.

Bring an EA82 radiator in so they can use it as a template (so it fits in the car afterwards).
Bring an EJ radiator in so they can make the inlet and outlet pipes to match.

There will be a little beating, pushing, pulling, bendling required to fit it unless you give them the car and say "fit it" - but wheres the fun.

with the two 12" davies craig fans cranking it holds the EJ20G well. However with sustained reeming on a hot day in boggy sand the heat gets up there. Should be perfect with an EJ22 - i would expect you to never have cooling issues.
Perhaps fit the motor first and see how much room you have - not sure if you will have any extra, perhaps a triple core would fit - Subarino runs one of these with his EJ22 but I think Hatch might have slightly more room behind that MY grill than an L series.
