You mean an aftermarket one? Should be the same on just about any turbo motor.

Fit it on the wastegate actuator hose and be sure to face the restrictor towards the motor. Depending on the unit there's varying levels of complication, however thats the short of it.

ive just put a turbo xs boost controller on my ea82t and am having a bit of trouble...it is all plumbed up right arrow pointing to wastegate Actuator and turned to the lowest setting possible and i am reading 9 psi of boost on the gauge... funny because 7psi is the standard for ea82t's which is what i was getting on the guage before i fit the controller....

now im thinking...dodgey controller? boost gauge hooked up wrong?

any help would be great
might take it to the workshop i bought it from and ask them on the weekend...

Sounds strange, really the lowest setting should be around 5psi. Check that there isn't any dust or grit in the controller's restrictor, maybe give it a blast out with contact cleaner or the like.

i plan to put a controller on soon too. pix would help. what do plan on setting the boost to? do ya reckon 10psi is a safe level- not too high but still some extra boost....or not enough.

it goes pretty nice but what i have found is tha ti am maxing out my injectors at 4000rpm if my foot is in it, but i dont mind as this only means that it is reving less and still utalising the working range of the turbo.... i can take some pics tomorrow when i get home from work, but i might be getting rid of it soon have been offered a 94MIddy patrol td.... so im tempted to get it... less to go wring with that... but it is not a ute so i dunno...

fixed the problem...took it off gave it a blow through with compressor put it back on and she stays at 7psi when right down.... now 1 turn = 1 psi increase...
